To all Brethren of the 21 st District,
We have created a program for all the Masons in the 21st District to travel with the Grand Master. MWB James F Easterling Jr, has committed himself to traveling to ALL of the 21st District Lodge Inspections. Any member who travels with the Grand Master to the District Events will receive special recognition at the District Awards Night on July 15th, 2013 at the Fairway’s Country Club.
There are 33 qualifying events. They are:
- · 28 Lodge Inspections in the 21st District
- · Muskrat Lodge on 1/12/2013 at Caldwell Lodge
- · Oyster Lodge on 3/13/2013 at Hoover Lodge
- · Akron Aero’s Family Picnic 6/29/2013 (Grand Master scheduled to throw out the 1st pitch)
- · District Award Night
- · One other NON 21st District Event. (ie OMH Day, Special Olympics, or any other event outside of the district where the Grand Master is in Attendance.)
Each event or visit (In or Out of District) will be awarded 1 point.
Traveling Man Gold Award – 100% attendance (33 Points)
Traveling Man Silver Award – Miss 3 (30 Points)
Traveling Man Bronze Award – Miss 5 (28 Points)
EXTRA CREDIT After your initial out of District visit, each additional visit will count as a visit. However, the “extra credit” visits will not allow you to receive the Gold Award. Gold Award is ONLY for those who meet ALL the original requirements.
This year’s Calendar Book has an area to use as a Passport to record your travels. These passport imprints are for your records and are not used for tabulating Traveling Man. Secretaries are urged to have their Lodge Seals available to imprint the books if requested. WB Brumbaugh will also have a “Traveling Man Stamp” to stamp the books also.
WB Brumbaugh will maintain the Master List of members attending each event. There will be a separate sign in sheet for the Traveling Man at each of the events. If you attend an event outside the District with the Grand Master, please ask him to initial your passport and send WB Brumbaugh an email so that it can be recorded.
This is a unique opportunity to travel with the Grand Master and support him in our District. This will be a once in a lifetime event for us.
