Brethren,

If you are headed back into the area from your winter destination, please let us know so we can update your contact information. We will also be working to get all of our records updated and improve the recordkeeping in the office. Your assistance and understanding as I work on this would be greatly appreciated.

Fraternally,
Joshua J. Grove, PM

Brethren,

Please help the lodge out by keeping us informed with regards to the health and welfare of your brethren.  Far too often a brother’s pride, or their family’s lack of understanding about Masonry leads us to loose contact. Please help keep us
informed.

Fraternally,
Joshua J. Grove, PM

Greetings Brethren,

I want to thank you as I work through getting all the dues payments processed.  I want to first thank all of the Brethren who have sent their dues for the 2013 year.  As noted in the first call for this year’s dues, I spend my summer moving to a new home in Akron and have finally gotten my home office up and running.  As of the time of this newsletter as second call has gone out for dues and we are well on the way to getting all dues in.  If you haven’t sent yours yet, please do so as soon as you can.  If you need to speak to me about your dues payment, please call me at 330-701-2193.  I work long days and will probably not be able to get back to you until the evening or even a day or so later.

While we are on the subject of dues; I would also like to let you all know where your dues go.  Each brother, who is not an endowed member is required to pay $75 to the lodge for their annual dues.  The only time that this is not the case is if, by vote of the lodge, the dues for a member are remitted.  Of the $75, roughly $42 covers monthly rental costs for the lodge to use the temple.  Grand Code also requires that $15 goes to Grand Lodge in the way of Per Capita cost and $2.20 goes to the Ohio Masonic Home Trustees.  There is also a $1 assessment per member that goes to Craftsmen’s Park and 50¢ per member assessment to SLOA (Symbolic Lodge Officer Association).  All total of the $75 that a brother pays each year, roughly $60 goes directly back out of the lodge.

While I encourage every brother to become an endowed member, the endowed membership pays approximately $30 per member back to the lodge; of which we are not accessed any Grand Lodge payments per member on.  However, we still must cover the assessments and rental payments. An Endowed Membership costs $800, but that is really only 11 years worth of dues, an not a bad deal if you are young and can afford it.

Finally, to all brethren who are remitted or endowed, I encourage you to contribute some monies to the lodge to help offset the operating cost.  Your continued support of the lodge is always appreciated and allows us to continue to operate and function for you.

Fraternally,

Joshua J. Grove, PM

Greetings Brethren,

Brethren I appreciate the quick response that you have sent with your dues payments for this year. Worshipful Brother Wright has been a great help as he steps down from begin Secretary.

In the coming months, I will be working to update our lodge records. You will be receiving a notice from the Lodge asking for additional information as well as an explanation for needing that information.

Remember you can come to a stated meeting and pay in person as well. We are willing to accept partial payment of $25. Meaning that if you attend 3 meetings and pay $25 each, you are paid. Pay now for next year.

Fraternally,

Joshua J. Grove, PM
